Kickspace heaters review
Electric Kickspace Heaters are an ideal solution for areas with limited wall space. They are designed to be recessed under-cabinet applications such as kitchens or utility room cabinets, vanities in the bathroom or risers of a stairway.
Electric kickspace or toe kick heaters are fan forced heaters and are powered by electricity as opposed to natural gas or oil. The heating element inside every electric heater is simply an electrical resistor – when the heater is on, the electric current cause’s resistance heating up an element.
Kickspace heaters will only go up to 1500 watts of heater, regardless of 120v or 240v. You will see there are two types of electric kickspace heaters. Some have a fan delay relay, other do not. The fan delay relay will run the internal fan to cool off the heating element for a couple of minutes after the element has shut off. The other models that do not have the fan delay relay have a much bigger back box. Width wise, there is a 3”-5” blank space on both sides of the heating element and fan. This design allows extra air to be brought in to cool the heating element off after it’s off.
